An Elul Fan! |
I get so excited for the month of Elul, this time can't contain myself, and making my first ever Happy Elul painting!! The fan that Shirah is holding says AHAVA!! I named her Shirah because it means SONG and in ELUL we sing the Song of Songs!! AHAVA means LOVE in Hebrew. Its one of my favorite words, close in the running with SHALOM!!
Much love and A very HAPPY almost ELUL, SHABBAT SHALOM!! Love, Shayndel

Does the little white cat symbolize anything?
ReplyDeleteSo glad you are posting again, Shayndel! Happy Elul!
Hi Sandi, Thank you! The little white animal, not quite sure what kind of animal, but I thought it a dog!! Not really symbolize anything, it just came into the drawing I made on my first Elul drawing, and now re-emerging in the painting! Holy Spirit playfully engaging in the creative partnership is what it seemed to me when I first drew it! And it does seem to be there for Elul!! Maybe its Shirah's dog, named Elul (she is named after the song, and he is named after the month!):)) ❤️
DeleteHappy Elul to you!
Both Shira and the Ahava fan are lovely!
ReplyDeleteI cannot get excited by Elul as my beloved mother had died during the Elul month. Besides, it's a very hectic time as we approach the High Holidays, but.. I try to do my best.
Thank you Duta. Sorry that it is a sad month for you, I understand. I hope that you will receive healing and restoring in your soul, as you lovingly remember your beloved Mother. Blessings in each new day. ♡
DeleteI like that name Shira. The paintings are very 'happy' and go well with the Song of Songs meaning. Happy Elul to you my friend. xx
ReplyDeleteThank you Joyfu! Happy Elul to you too!! The exhibit was today! It was a happy day and nice sharing of God's Love. Thank you always to you and everyone for being so encouraging! xx♡
DeleteLove your beautiful paintings and that word AVAVA!!!
ReplyDeleteElul is the twelfth month of the Jewish year, Happy Elul dear Shayndel!
Thank you Hobbyloes!! In the biblical calendar, Elul is actually the sixth month!! even though Rosh Hashanah is the "New Year" it is actually the new year that starts in the seventh month!!! There are a few "New Years" on the Hebrew calendar!! Blessings and a Happy Elul!!♡!
DeleteEnjoy it! xxx
