This Shabbat we are in Parsha Bo. Bo means `Come`, and we are reading about the Exodus and the Passover.
Yesterday was International Holocaust Remembrance Day for the nations, It marks the day of liberation of the Auschwitz Death Camp and is a day that was established for the nations to never forget the horrific mass murder of 6 million Jewish people during the Holocaust.
It is for the nations to remember and to know this horrific history, and through knowledge and education be empowered to make decisions to pave a future where it can never happen again.
I attended (on zoom!) a live webinar for this day in
Japan. It was offered to us through the Jewish Community of Japan. I
was glad that they are encouraging education and awareness for the
Japanese people to know about the Holocaust. Yom HaShoah, the
remembrance day in Israel, is commemorated later in the spring.
Remembering
and educating the younger generations is timely with what we are
learning in this week's parsha, even as the book of Shemot starts with
Pharaoh's plan to get rid of the Jewish people. He saw the Jewish
people as a `threat` to him purely by being numerous and prosperous and
signaled them out to destroy them through such `methods` as back
breaking labor and the decree on boy children. But as we know the enemy
plan is never going to come to be and this week`s very subject is the
Great and mighty Hand of God`s deliverance and His power and dominion
over all.
Sadly and tragically, since I drafted this post there was an incident in Jerusalem motivated by what seems to be this same hatred, a terrorist attack at a synogogue in Jerusalem. May the LORD bring comfort to the families and to all Jerusalem.
May there be an outpouring of LOVE of Israel and the
Jewish People released on this day from all over the world including
from us in the Body of Messiah. May we see the end of anti-Semitism
everywhere and by our love may we prepare for the Redemption and return
of Messiah.

Here is a brief summary of the Parsha Bo and reflections from the Prayer Sheet!:
God grants a new beginning to the children of Israel from slavery to redemption through the Exodus. In our parsha this week, He marks the beginning of months, establishes the first month of Spring and the Passover offering. All this just before the tenth plague of the first born where the homes of the children of Israel are “Passed over” and marked by the blood of the lamb.
Our new life begins when we are redeemed in the blood of the Lamb, our Messiah Yeshua. He himself the Passover lamb. We are told over and over in the Torah to remember the story of the Exodus and tell it to our children throughout the generations. We tell it as part of the kiddush which is said every Friday night at Shabbat, where we remember the Exodus from Egypt and God’s great love in which He guided us and redeemed us.
May our children be eager to learn and know God,
and may our families, loved ones, community, and all of Israel
“Come” to Yeshua!

A Torah Scroll for Japan!! A Story in a few Parts and continuing...
I went back to the US for a visit in December to visit my Dad and celebrate his 90th Birthday.
On the way I attended
a conference in Florida, where little unbeknownst to me I would be
going back to Japan with a Torah Scroll!!
On my way to see my Dad I made a stop in Florida to attend a Messianic conference that was being held on my birthday! It seemed like a miracle that it was still in the middle of the pandemic and tough restrictions were in place, and yet the LORD opened up the door for me to go on this trip to see my Dad and have this stopover, a gift from heaven in itself!
Every good gift and every perfect gift is from above, coming down from the Father of lights, with whom there is no variation or shifting shadow. Jacob (James) 1:17
The day I received the Torah was on the day of my birthday. It was the Shabbat Parsha Vayechi.
The Parsha was significant because this year Vayechi was on my birthday, Dec. 18. Vayechi contains the Hebrew word `Chai` (חי) which means life, and is expressed in the number 18. Seeing this parsha for life on the 18th and it also being my birthday I knew there was something special on this day. I felt in my spirit that `this Torah portion is for me`, like a `Bat Mitzvah`portion!! As I never sensed that before, I was expectant, though not knowing just in what way!
The Torah will go forth from Zion and the word of God from Jerusalem＊
The Torah scroll came to Florida all the way from Jerusalem, with a young man named Israel and his family, who are active in ministry for the restoration of Israel. I told a dear new friend who I had just met at the conference that when I saw the Torah, the LORD put it in my heart to bring the scroll back to Japan! She was 100 percent in agreement, and even offered to co-partner with me in getting the Torah. She wanted to bless the LORD in sending His word forth, and to bless Japan!! It was decided that afternoon before the end of the Shabbat, that after Shabbat we would purchase the scroll together!! Israel wrapped it carefully as I would be on my journey to NY for the next part of my trip to see my Dad the next day!
I didn`t know how I was going to carry the scroll and my big suitcase that I had with me for a month-long trip!! Even the suitcase alone was a challenge when making the various international and domestic transfers. And yet I went forward in faith and knew that the LORD would carry it, and so He did!

As God cannot be contained in the Tabernacle or any place we make for Him here on earth, how can we put all that is in this parsha into a few short paragraphs!? I am overwhelmed by how much there is in it! The Golden Menorah, the silver trumpets, the Cloud of Glory, the almond blossoms patterned on the menorah branches. There is the presenting of the Levites to the Lord, the second Passover, the cloud covering the Tabernacle, and moving the Tabernacle as the cloud lifts. We read of the grumbling, praying, prophesying, the sin of Miriam. And how the whole of Israel waits for her to be healed before they move on.
We also find in this parsha the words that were said whenever the Ark would set out (Numbers 10:35~36). These same words are said in synagogues today when the Torah Scrolls are removed from the Ark!
Arise, O Lord, may Your enemies be scattered!
The light of the Menorah that is attended to so carefully and continually by Aaron, which opens this parsha, is always to remain lit. Yeshua commands us to be the Light of the World. We do that by abiding in Him, keeping our passion alive through prayer and worship, being lead by His Holy Spirit by day and by night!! Dear Heavenly Father, Please reveal Yourself to us and fill us always with new anointing, so we can shine our light for others and bring glory to You in the name of our Eternal King and Messiah Yeshua!

You are to bring out of your houses two loaves of bread for a wave offering, made of two tenths of an ephah of fine flour. They are to be baked with hametz as firstfruits to ADONAI. Leviticus 23:17
This year was the second time I made the two Shavuot loaves with my AHAVA Prayer partner in Japan. We are in 2 different parts of Japan, so we made them together as we met on Zoom!!
We had an intimate and wonderful time making them. The night before our meeting, we had met with friends from our AHAVA fellowship and read the book of Ruth together (also on Zoom!*). Being able to connect around the world on Zoom has been such an amazing blessing during this time of `shutdown`. We read about the meeting and marriage of Ruth and Boaz in sonorous voices with accents from many nations. God showed us revelations in His word as we read about Ruth the Moabite (as she is called in the early part of the story) and Boaz, the Goel (kinsman redeemer) from the line of Judah~~ and how they came together in this beautiful love story in the time of the Harvest!! Of course, from their union came Messiah Yeshua ...(how many?) generations later!!
So back to the loaves ( I hope to share some of the insights from book of Ruth on another post!).
We came together as Jew and Gentile to make and lift up two loaves to Yeshua! We were getting a little giddy as everything came together in His AHAVA. As we counted 6 Tablespoons of sugar, Aimei said, `6 Tablespoons, 6 weeks!`. and when we put in the 2 eggs we said, `2 eggs, 2 loaves!`. We were counting numbers and counting omer as we also are reading in the Torah just now in starting in the book of Numbers!!
We Praise you LORD for your Love!
AHAVA in Hebrew means, Love.
Our Thanksgiving verse this week was perfect for the Bride.
Counting up to the day of Shavuot we invite the Holy Spirit to pour out afresh on us and on the Body of Messiah. To bring His Shalom upon Israel.
Reading the Word of God and making Challah go together well! Man cannot live by bread alone! So in the time when the bread was rising and when it was baking we prayed through our prayer sheet for our children and loved ones and Israel and nations.

As I had a little dough left out from the loaves, I made a heart challah to represent two loaves becoming one!! (more on that in the next post).
May we be One in Yeshua in this season of Shavuot/Pentecost and may the harvest be great and an outpouring of God`s love as brothers come to together and dwell together!! May we see the true peace in Yeshua, Prince of Peace, upon Israel!

She knows the word LOVE, as it was written on her t-shirt, and she then held up the postcard and tried reading the words herself!!! It looked like she was really reading it, you know how a child sometimes does that and sort of imitates an adult reading but she couldn`t really read it... except she did read LOVE and then she really wanted to read `everlasting` and made sounds for the other words, as if she was reading, her little lips moving so delicately. Even though she is only 5 and hardly speaks English it was as if these words from God`s Word were really speaking to her!! And she was wanting to `speak ` them out loud.
