Passover Letter to God

 (Note:  This is another Post from "the Archives!!" , drafted after last year's Passover and posted now, just before Passover this year!! I'm finding it helpful on my own journey to see where I was from year to year at this holiday and how God is moving in our lives!! )

Dear Heavenly Father,

Thank you for the Passover and for the commandment to eat Matzah for seven days.  Not only are your commandments not a burden, as you tell us so, but they are also an absolute delight (as you also tell us! smile smile).  LORD, when we see the Matzah that is broken and pierced, we eat it knowing it represents your body that was broken and pierced for us.  When we pass by the bread all around us in this week, it is not a burden to not eat it but rather it is a way we remember that we are people set apart for you.   When You meet us on your appointed days, Jew or Gentile, all One in You, we know we can meet others in You because they will be there too on those days to meet you, and then we meet each other too!! Thank you for the great surprises and people who you showed me to in that way this Passover!! Like the hidden YOU in Purim, like YESHUA who is "hidden" in the Afikomen, You  hide your Truth in a world of lies (they are being unraveled though , thanks to You, as you bring more and more Truth into the LIGHT!)!! And like children finding the Afikomen (the Middle Matzah), when we find the matzah we rejoice in the excitement in finding something that you have hidden and through which You reveal more of Yourself!!

When I was a child I liked that part of the Seder, but I never knew that it was my Saviour who would be revealed in the Matzah!! Oh LORD, oh Heavenly Father, this Passover is the most wonderful of all as You reveal more and more of Yourself!! OH how wonderful to see all the Japanese families and children who are hungry to learn your TORAH and teach it to their children!!  Being at the Seder table together with them and sharing the stories that are their stories too!!  Oh how when the world and even some of your precious ones are throwing out the "Old Testament" as Old and oh well, how wonderful to see its newness here with people so eager to know the God of Israel!!  You are the God of Israel and your plan of restoration is all in the Passover, from the Exile to the revelation of Messiah Yeshua to the bringing us all together in Him and the work that WE now have to do to bring the New Jerusalem down so we will all be at Your table together!! And this Passover we were, and we are!! One in You , Yeshua!!

I love you LORD and thank you for the freedom that comes in knowing YOU!!
