Timbrels and Matzah , O my!

As the Cherry blossoms are fluttering off the trees, in a soft and  flutter,
and the leaves turn to green
the season is flowing in perfect harmony into the days of  Passsover
as if it was out of  a movie scene.

As we prepare to clean our hearts of leaven
and our cabinets of hametz,

a delivery arrives.
Matzah!  On time!

And then the doorbell rings again.

Oh heavens!
Tambourines!!

Shabbat Shalom!! the last Shabbat before Passover!  The Great Shabbat (this Shabbat is called Shabbat Gadol! the Great Shabbat)~~~!! Notice:  This  Post may contain photos and scriptures to follow, for now just posting a few words in the excitement of receiving the Matzah and the timbrels!!  You may be able to guess the two scriptures I have in mind!!  (OK, if anyone is up for the challenge, and gets them, then a tambourine is in store for you!)!! Blessings and Love,  Shayndel, off to clean my cabinets!

  1. "to clean our hearts of leaven and our cabinets of hametz" - that's quite a lot of work, but we must do it.
Enjoy your deliveries: matza and tambourines!

  3. The other day I read your post and was trying to come up with t he 2 scriptures. I wasn't able but I'm thinking they relate to both the timbrel and the matzah. I'm a bit late to wish you a Shabbat Shalom or Shabbat Gadol but I hope you enjoyed and felt the presence of our Heavenly Father. Hugs. xx

    1. Hi Joyful, thank you so much for thinking about it!! I want to do another post on the topic, so will hopefully post them to follow! Yes! One relates to the timbrel--hint in Exodus as it relates to the joy of being set free, relating to Passover!! And one relates to the matzah, and particularly the getting rid of the "leaven" in our hearts as we prepare for the festival of Passover!! Thank you also for your blessings and wishes, , yes it was a great Shabbat and the presence of our Heavenly Father was felt as it was a very worshipfull time this past few days!! Praise God and to you too, enjoy the presence of our Heavenly Father and LORD Yeshua as you bring glory to Him in all you do!!Hugs xx

  4. As we prepare to clean our hearts of leaven and our cabinets of hametz... Yes,and...
How much more shall the blood of Christ, who through the eternal Spirit offered himself without spot to God, purge your conscience from dead... works to serve the living God?

  5. As we prepare to clean our hearts of leaven
and our cabinets of hametz, that is very drastic that we can do that in our lives.

  7. Thank you friends for the wonderful comments. I want to share the two scriptures that I had in mind on this post, and I think you already got them!!
"Hametz" means anything with leaven in it, and also is used in the scriptures to refer to "leaven" in the spiritual sense, of sin, pride, and all that "puffs us up" ! So this scripture goes with the "cleaning!" of both---

Get rid of the old hametz, so you may be a new batch, just as you are unleavened--for Messiah, our Passover Lamb, has been sacrificed. Therefore let us celebrate the feast not with old hametz, the hametz of malice and wickedness,
but with unleavened bread---the matzah of sincerity and truth.

    ---1Corinthians 5:7~8

And of course, the Timbrels scripture is from when after the Children of Israel were set free, the first Passover, and Miriam led the women in praise and rejoicing, in Exodus 15:20,

Then Miriam the prophet, Aaron's sister, took a timbrel in her hand, and all the women followed her, with timbrels and dancing.

Wishing everyone a Pesach Sameach!! Much Love ,Blessings! Shayndel
