Postcards from Parsha Pekudei

I will expound a theme, hold forth on the lessons of the past,
things we have heard and known,
that our fathers have told us.
We will not withhold them from their children,
telling the coming generation
the praises of the LORD and His might,
and the wonders He performed.

Psalm 78:2~4

Finishing the book of Exodus!

Chazak, Chazak, venitchazek!!
Be strong, be strong, and let us strengthen each other!

Blessings and love,
Shayndel

  1. "Telling the coming generation..." about God - that's the main message of it all.
Is it you and your daughter in the picture? It looks lovely! The outfits show you've got designing talent among your other various talents.
Anyway, I don't know whether you're a teacher, but it feels like that in all your posts, and you are good, whether you teach making a challah or a parsha from the Bible.

  2. Thank you Duta, your beautiful response touched my heart, first that you felt that from the Psalm so strongly about telling the coming generation!! Actually that is the first time those verses really spoke to me, they just jumped out of the Psalm. And yes, it is me and my daughter!! Thanks for recognizing us, though its kind of a Holy Spirit picture, as its not a literal picture, but something I felt after reading the parsha!! Putting together the garments and the blue and the generations and the roots! I do like teaching, and have taught various things. Actually , another verse that I almost put is one that said "All your children will be taught by the LORD and they shall have Shalom", so there was a sense also about "teaching" in the picture!! Wow, you really have a keen insight. Thanks for the encouragement always!Blessings! My reply is longer than your comment! lol!♡

  3. Exodus 40:38 really gives a very powerful picture of how the Lord was so present with his people throughout their journey. Blessings and Shalom :-)
